Philadelphia Eagles Injury Report Update

The Philadelphia Eagles have released their latest injury report, detailing the status of key players ahead of the upcoming game.

PHILADELPHIA – The Eagles Could Be Without Top Receivers Against Tampa Bay This Weekend

The Philadelphia Eagles might head into this weekend’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers without their three most productive receivers. With an early bye week approaching after Sunday’s matchup, the Eagles could be cautious with All-Pro receiver A.J. Brown, who has missed the last two games due to a hamstring injury.

Brown’s only public comment on his injury was to Lisa Salters, predicting a "couple of weeks" recovery, which leaves a potential return for the Tampa Bay game. His presence is sorely needed, as the Eagles' offense has struggled without him, a fact emphasized by their 32-9 wild-card playoff loss to the Buccaneers in January.

Adding to the Eagles' woes, DeVonta Smith is currently in concussion protocol after a big hit during Philadelphia’s 15-12 win over the New Orleans Saints last Sunday. Additionally, receiver Britain Covey sustained a shoulder injury in the same game and was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday.

Despite these injuries, the Eagles have depth at wide receiver, including Jahan Dotson and rookie Johnny Wilson on the active roster. They also have practice squad options, such as veterans Parris Campbell, who was elevated against the Saints, and John Ross, who was re-signed to the practice squad on Tuesday. Other available players include Danny Gray, a 2022 third-round pick by San Francisco, Kyle Phillips, a shiftier receiver similar to Covey, and undrafted rookie Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint.
